We celebrate Grandparent’s Day…

….every year at
RCS. This is a wonderful time for students to bring their
grandparents to school making it a time they will cherish for
years to come. We have planned a very special chapel first
thing in the morning, with many students participating and
then the grandparents spend time with their grandchildren in
their classrooms for some special activities. If your child
does not have a grandparent who can attend, please consider
inviting an older person of grandparent age from your
church, friends, or neighborhood. They would feel honored,
we can assure you.
Grandparent’s Day is Wednesday, October 27th. The
chapel service in the gymnasium will begin at 8:15 AM, but
if grandparents arrive earlier with their grandchildren, they
may go to their classrooms. This day is a minimum day and
grandparents are welcome to stay until the end of school.
After School Care will be available until 6:00pm.

Welcome to the Redding Christian School Blog site!

Thank you for your time and interest in our school. We look forward to developing a partnership with you throughout the years to come. Teaching your children is a privilege and a responsibility, one we take seriously before God. We pledge to do the very best for your children during the time they are with us. We view educating a child as a partnership between parents, school staff and the Lord. We trust that this website will be a helpful tool as we work together to advance your child’s education.

We look forward to a fruitful relationship.

Yours in Christ,

Mike Wenger, Site Principal

It’s Time for School!

Every parent wants their child to have the best chance for success in all areas of life; academic, social, spiritual and physical. Redding Christian School prepares students to face challenges of today for success tomorrow. Come visit our spacious 40-acre campus just a few minutes east of Redding. The setting abounds in opportunities for children to explore, run and play, with plenty of room to grow. There are several sports arenas for softball, soccer, track, baseball and basketball.

Redding Christian School provides a Christ-centered education, which challenges students to develop a life-long love of learning, to grow in their faith, and to respond to God’s call of service to themselves, their families, and their community.

Our commitment at RCS is to see the fruit of God’s spirit produced in the life of every student. It is our highest aim to produce students who have a love of learning, are sound in their faith, and have a vision of God’s call on their life to be for His glory in their home, the church, and in the world.

Fairwell Mrs. Guido…

Twenty years ago Redding Christian School was preparing to open their doors to students. Leilani
Guido and founding Board members bathed Redding Christian School in prayer, and waited on God for wisdom
and direction. It is because of prayer, and trusting God that RCS continues to be a school that puts
Christ first in all we do. So after 30 plus years in Christian education, Leilani Guido has retired! We are committed
to pursuing excellence at RCS in the same spirit that Mrs. Guido began many years ago. Though she
has retired from an official position, you will see her on campus as a Grandma, volunteer, and of course, a
prayer partner! Thank you, Mrs. Guido for your amazing leadership and vision over the years.

New Beginings

By the grace of God we have been blessed with building a new School District from the ground up. Redding Christian School is an independent, nondenominational Christian school serving all of Shasta County. Its families, qualified staff and faculty, and governing board represent Bible believing churches throughout the Redding area. The school offers the highest quality education for the total child––intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical. Our goal is to provide a positive, nurturing atmosphere where each student will discover his or her area of giftedness.
